Then suddenly I heard something that wasn't a race car, it sounded like normal cars hitting the track and sure enough the spectators from the show were racing on the track. In some very cool battles including an amazing fight between a Nissan GTR and a Monte Carlo that meant business we climbed an elimination tree that climaxed in a single victor. Who won? We had come off a drenched April and coming into May we were, needless to say, timid as we looked toward some more good shows. It rained all the way up to the event, but as the morning closed in the clouds moved out as if to say, "you get this one!" The chill moved away with it and cars began to arrive.
