Recently a computer chip shortage has hindered production of vehicles. When the pandemic struck, it meant that many automakers couldn't make cars and for that reason companies that made these chips had to look to others to sell their wares. Funny enough, with people locked up, they needed entertainment and the mobile business started booming. From mobile phones, laptops and television sets that saw the stimulus checks blasted away in an evening, these new found resources were moving like hotcakes, just waiting for another government check to up the ante.
When automakers finally returned to production their demand was also record breaking, but the companies that had chips for them before, suddenly were found elsewhere and the supply quickly dried up leaving manufacturing lines to once again slow to a halt!
